It has an inspiring conservation story as it is now home to lions and rhinos, and is the only Big Five park in the country. Safari Itinerary
A very warm welcome from one of our representatives as he picks you up at the airport. You shall be briefed on your safari itinerary then it’s off to Akagera National Park.
The expected arrival time is around mid-morning towards lunch. You’ll head straight to Magashi Camp for check-in and lunch, and have a little rest before embarking on an afternoon game drive.
In the evening, you’ll return to your cam for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast with the finest Rwandese Coffee, it’s time to explore this park. There’s a huge concentration of wildlife considering its size and the park offers great ways to explore this. You’ll have an opportunity to explore wildlife on a game drive and on a boat ride. This makes for a remarkable safari adventure.
The day game drive offers you the opportunity to spot a variety of wild animals such as elephants, buffalos, lions, Masai giraffes, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Buchtel’s zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard and bushbuck not to forget water lovers like Crocodiles and Hippos, coupled with a large concentration of bird life; over 525 species identified.
You will have one last time to explore this magnificent park with an early morning game drive. Afterwards, you’ll return to the camp for breakfast and check out. You’ll have an en-route game drive as you are transferred back to Kigali. The expected arrival time is around mid-day. Your guide will take you to the airport for your international flight or head home.
