LAKE KIVU

Lake Kivu is one of the Africa Great Lakes, It lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda and is in the Albertine Rift the western branch of the East African Rift Lake Kivu empties into the Rusizi River which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika. Lake Kivu also Surrounded by the Rift Valley and Virunga mountains it has picturesque sandy shores and provides a beautiful setting with the view of Nyiragongo at which to relax after gorilla trekking.
